What is the diversity visa lottery?
The Diversity Immigrant Visa Program (DV Program) makes up to 50,000 immigrant visas available annually, drawn from random selection among all entries to individuals who are from countries with low rates of immigration to the United States. The DV Program is administered by the U.S. Department of State (DOS).

Who qualifies to enter lottery?
The diversity VISA lottery is targeted at regions with low migration rates to the US. Currently 80% are received in Africa and Europe. To qualify for application, one must have one of two things. The first is a high school qualification according to the US education system. This is equivalent to Advanced Level in Zimbabwe. The second is one must have in the last 5 years have 2 years work experience i an occupation that requires at least 2 years of training. Zimbabwe and all African citizens qualify to apply for the lottery.
