The TechVillage hosts Techfest this coming week in Bulawayo. The Techfest will be one of the biggest tech events of 2016 and is set to bring a grand close to what I think has been an action packed tech year. The event runs from Tuesday 15 November through to Saturday 19 November 2016.
A little more on the Techfest
The TechFest is an annual multi day tech event in it’s first year of running. The event seeks to explore the disruptive tech scene in Southern Africa. The event seeks to promote the buzzing innovation culture that is fast growing in the City of Bulawayo, the country and the region at large.
Who should attend?
The Techfest seeks to bring together all players in the tech innovation scene from investor to users of products and services. Investors, developers, freelancers, policy makers, small and medium enterprises, executives, innovators and hobbists should attend.

About the hosts, TechVillage
The TechVillage is an incubation hub in the City of Bulawayo. It is a community of some of the brightest minds on the land that is poised for greater heights. The hub was founded by Takunda Chikonzo, a passionate innovator and budding entrepreneur. TechVillage holds weekly meetups in the city where innovators meet up to pick each other’s brains and build potentially disruptive tech solutions. The hub has up to date home to 36 startups, 8 social ventures, 204 entrepreneurs and 9 communities.
This is exactly what the tech scene needs. Events centered on bringing together innovators and investors. Events put together by the brightest, the smartest and the believers. Kaguvi Digital will be in attendance, you too should be. Innovator or not, techie or not, come through to the event and learn one or two things. The least I can say about the event is just putting it together is pretty DISRUPTIVE. Kudos to TechVillage!
